After harvesting a cow elk, bull moose, mule deer, multiple antelope, black bear, and a mountain lion all with my bow, a screaming bull elk was always my dream. I have had many opportunities, but never could seal the deal.

I wasn’t able to hunt on September 1st. My dad, Bill Tanner, had been texting me all week about how fun it had been and the action that they were having with the elk. Thanks to my dream of killing a bull with my bow, I couldn’t take it anymore and decided that I was going to take a weekend off and drive home for a short hunt with my dad. I got home Thursday night of the first week in September, and dad and I made a game plan for the weekend.
