Eastmans is THE mule deer hunting authority. We’ve been blazing trails and pioneering the frontiers of mule deer hunting for three generations and counting. Nowhere else will you find the combined history, expertise, experience and tradition that Eastmans Hunting Journals offers. It began with Grandpa Gordon’s groundbreaking cinematography and lectures. Mike Eastman built upon that legacy and taught an entire generation how to be better mule deer hunters. It continues to this day with Guy, Ike and the Eastmans team sharing our passion for mule deer.

However… there’s more to Why Eastmans’… we know full well and have seen first hand over our 100+ years of experience that people protect what they value, for us that’s mule deer and our hunting heritage. If we fail to pass on our love for these icons of the West, if we fail to share our knowledge and experiences, then it is ultimately the deer who suffer. Without hunter’s pouring money into the pursuit of mule deer the animals are doomed. It is hunter dollars that props up mule deer conservation, plain and simple. 

It is our obsession with mule deer and mule deer hunting that drives us to protect habitat, fund studies and migration initiatives, volunteer, donate and give back to mule deer. If that dies with us, the fate of mule deer is bleak.
