Sweet September
By Brent Creer | ANT-UT-DIY-PL
The crisp September morning air filled my lungs and the scent of fresh sage tickled my senses as I viewed a group of sunlit pronghorn bucks from a hilltop in the Utah desert. I couldn’t help recounting the fortunate events that made this pristine opening day moment possible.
I got a call 20 days prior from a Utah Division of Wildlife Resources representative asking if I wanted a turned-in tag for my first choice pronghorn unit. While giving no thought to the lack of preparation time and without letting the representative finish his sentence, the answer was a resounding, “Absolutely!”
