Every Colorado hunter’s dream is to draw a third season limited draw trophy buck tag, but it is something I had just come to accept that I would probably never get the opportunity to hunt due to the preference point system and my age.

Going into the Colorado hunting season, I was not planning on getting to hunt mule deer.  Knowing I had two preference points and that the limited draw trophy areas require at least ten preference points for the second season and around 15 to 18 points for the third season it was just impossible.
