Meant To Be

Meant To Be

By Boston Bradford | ELK-UT-DIY-PL

My late season, limited entry elk hunt for 2020 was a success and here is why. We scouted weeks before the hunt to try and locate bulls early on. We had located a few great bulls that had me very excited. My dad and I got there three days before the opener and went to glassing points. We found some great bulls but unfortunately with this late season hunt, they were broken up from fighting so it was hard to find one that was still intact and that had all his tines. Two days before the opening day of my hunt, one of my dad’s good friends sent him a picture of a bull that I decided I wanted to go after. This particular bull was all intact and he was unique, so we went over to the place he had seen this bull and we couldn’t find him. I wasn’t going to let that bother me. I knew I wanted to find this bull and didn’t want to stop until I could at least see this bull with my own eyes.
