Important Notes
1. After two seasons following the worst winter in two generations, WGFD is managing recovering herds and making draw, season and tag number changes accordingly. Be sure to read the most recent regulations after they have been approved by the Wyoming Game and Fish Commission to ensure you have the most accurate data before your hunt begins. It would be easy to accidentally hunt historical dates that have been cut, or harvest animals outside of the antler-point restrictions in some areas.
2. Last year, the Wyoming state legislature increased prices on licenses, including the special-priced licenses for nonresident deer, elk and pronghorn. These price jumps produced interesting results in the drawing odds and it’s expected 2025 will remain rocky with wide swings in drawing odds. Be patient while the odds shake out, and be sure to be conservative with your applications if you are looking to force the draw.
3. General Regions for elk hunters were new in 2024, and will continue into 2025. These tag numbers are subject to change year-to-year now and it will be important to track these changes to make necessary edits to your application if your hunting region is affected by the annual season setting meeting in April.
Good luck in the draws!
