The Tent Buck

It all starts with the Western Hunting and Conservation EXPO. A couple of friends and I decided to give in to our desire to hunt out of state to expand our opportunities. With hunting growing in popularity in Utah, getting a tag every year was starting to become a rarity. After talking things over, we figured that our best place to start would be with an OTC elk tag in Colorado. Not knowing anything about the laws or terrain, we decided on getting set up with an outfit to help us get the wheels rolling.
Fast forward a few months, and we had all purchased our elk tags. After filling out my Colorado paperwork, I realized I had one deer point from a few years ago, and decided to go ahead and give it a shot in the draw, and ended up drawing what turned out to be a pretty decent third season rifle buck tag.
