Wild West Whitetails

I think it's safe to say that mule deer are considered to be the icon of deer hunting in the West. Whether it’s early season high country or late season rut hunting a Boone and Crockett mule deer may be the pinnacle of any hunter’s career. Then there is the ever so famous whitetail. They are the most popular big game animal to hunt in North America bar none. They can live in just about in every type of habitat from the Florida swamps, the Arizona desert and the high, thick country of NW Montana. Let’s not forget about how well they do in urban areas too. They say if a nuke were ever to go off there would be three animals left, cockroaches, coyotes and whitetail deer.
