Idaho and Montana offer more deer tags but Colorado has 37% of all B&C entries for mule deer in the last 30 years (Wyoming is #2 at 12%). That lead is growing. In the last 5 years, Colorado has 240 entries (Utah is #2 with 66). That means Colorado has exceeded the number of entries from the legendary 1960s. Since the harvest was nearly 2X what it is today, part of that is likely due to more people submitting their entries, but the upward trend is undeniable. Added to that fact, the statewide buck to doe ratio right now is at an incredible 38:100, the highest it has ever been in Colorado.
